BlueLinx is growing and looking for an impact performer in the Accounting/Finance team. BlueLinx is looking for a Corporate Financial Analyst . The Financial Analyst supports the Manager, FP&A and other team members by conducting analysis and reporting as part of the Corporate FP&A team's processes. The Financial Analyst must be detailed oriented, meet deadlines, be curious about data, and provide ideas and insights. The Financial Analyst is a member of a team that together helps provide accurate and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making and drive the company's performance. Requirements: Conducts thorough financial analysis and modeling to support key business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance against targets while identifying areas of improvement. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Contributes to the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly forecasting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with company objectives. Assists in the development and maintenance of financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and long-term forecasting. Prepares regular and ad hoc financial reports, highlighting trends, variances, and key performance indicators for presentation to senior management and stakeholders. This may include the preparation of financial presentations for board meetings, investor relations, and other corporate communication needs. Performs market research and analysis to update the market model and provide insights into industry trends, the competitive landscape, and improvements to the model. Supports the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and tools to streamline processes and improve data accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a nice plus 1-3 years experience in financial analysis, preferably in a corporate or finance-related role. Intermediate Excel skills, exposure to financial modeling, and familiarity with financial planning software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate meaningful insights at both a high and detailed level. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
