Structural Analyst for the Advanced Development Programs
(Skunkworks) Structural Analysis Team. Successful candidate will be
able to perform structural analysis on new designs of airframe
mechanism parts, including landing gear and inflight opening
doors.
Responsible for static strength assessment, detail part sizing of
primary and secondary mechanisms structure. You will work directly
with suppliers to convey requirements and to verify compliant
products. You will use your knowledge of engineering mechanics,
including Engineering Statics, Dynamics, and Strength of
Materials.
Comments for Suppliers: Rates will be evaluated on a case by case
basis based off of a candidate's qualifications in respect to the
position.
Must have experience in stress analysis of inflight OPENING DOORS
and/or LANDING GEAR (including internal structure), and
interfaces
Experience with finite element analysis, such as NASTRAN, PATRAN,
or ABAQUS
Landing Gear and opening doors knowledge will be the focus of this
position
