Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process tissue products, and finished goods

Perform Karl Fischer Residual Moisture Analysis on processed tissue product and perform subsequent out of specification investigations when necessary.

Perform environmental monitoring of the processing suites and support areas including surface plating and viable and total particulate sampling. Review, record, file, and routinely trend results

Perform media suitability testing

Water system testing

Perform and review results of release criteria testing, such as ELISA, fibroblast migration, etc.

Review pre-processing recovery swab results for acceptability.

Perform routine audits of the preventive maintenance and calibration files/programs

Document Nonconforming product as necessary following unacceptable culture swab results, out of specification Residual Moisture determinations, or other non-conformance

Send out samples to approved contract laboratories for testing not performed in-house

Assist in investigations and CA/PA's as required.

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as required.

Training

Assist in training associated with GDP, GTP, document changes

Support quality system by insuring companywide compliance to quality system standards

Administer training program for internal program and system requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Science related field (Biology, Chemistry, Nursing) and three (3) years of relevant work experience working in the medical field or in a Quality Control role within an FDA regulated environment; or a combination of relevant education and experience.

Knowledge of the following: AATB, FDA, and other state/federal regulations

Strong computer skills, including proficiency at MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, and Windows-based operating systems

Excellent organization and communication skills

Ability to work independently
