Job DescriptionRole and ResponsibilitiesLab technicians have limited contact with patients and customers while working in clean and well maintained laboratory. It is a typical 40-hour work week position, although part-time openings are available in certain circumstances. Optical lab technicians may need to wear safety equipment at times, including masks, gloves, and protective eyewear. The tools used in this position can be dangerous, so workplace safety is a priority.Job Functions:

• Edge eyewear jobs
• Order jobs from offices through various vendors
• Maintain all necessary paperwork including job counts, lens used, statement reconciliation and all other documents needed to maintain accounting and operations
• Maintain pharma operations including inventory levels, office fulfillment and all pertinent documentation
• Ensure quality of craftsmanship by maintaining equipment including calibration, repairs and maintenance of all lab equipment. Possess ability to learn and comprehend maintenance standards.
• Work with vendors and representatives of labs to ensure job flow including checking on job status, remakes and deliveries
• Order necessary supplies to perform job functions
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Interact with opticians regarding patient jobs and job status
• All other functions necessary to perform job such as maintaining functional storage of patterns, jobs and traces as well as using computer software to store and edge remote traces
