Responsibilities
The Team Lead, Clinical Integration (CI) Program is a position
supporting both the efforts of the WellStar Clinical Partners and
the efforts of the WCP Accountable Care Organization.
This position reports to the Director, Clinical Integration (CI)
Program and is responsible for leading assigned WCP business
operations, the implementation of major projects, and weekly
productivity reporting. This position works in partnership with the
WCP leadership team to provide administrative oversight for WCP/ACO
operations and may or may not have direct reports.
The Team Lead (CI) develops and implements processes, policies, and
workflows required to maintain the comprehensive quality management
and process improvement program for WellStar Clinical Partners and
the WCP Accountable Care Organization, enhancing outcomes and
ensuring patient safety and quality care. He/She maintains current
knowledge of CMS and payer value-based contract requirements
related to WCP programs and other internal and external
regulations. The Team Lead (CI) will also serve as the liaison
between the WellStar Clinical Partners organization, the
Accountable Care Organization members, and the WellStar Health
System Quality Transformation Steering Committee.
In this role, the Team Lead (CI) assists the Director of Clinical
Integration with developing and maintaining a comprehensive quality
improvement program, policies and processes to ensure best
practices that standardize clinical care and reduce practice
variation. He/She will support the CI Director with interviewing,
hiring, training, and monitoring the work of the Quality
Coordinators. The Team Lead (CI) will also be responsible for the
overall analysis and development of action plans for clinical,
quality, utilization, and process metrics, as well as the cost of
care reduction
for assigned WCP chapters(s) and/or practices. In addition, he/she
will provide guidance, education, and support to physicians and
practice staff regarding quality initiatives, review regional and
practice level quality reports, analyze data, conduct root cause
analysis, and prepare summary reports with improvement
recommendations.
As a Team Lead, the individual in this role must have advanced
knowledge and skills in quality improvement, valuebased care
arrangements, and healthcare compliance. He/She must demonstrate
the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in
writing) and with a high level of regard for leadership positions
and physician partners of the System. The Team Lead (CI) will
coordinate the development, tracking, analysis, and follow-up
required for quality and process metrics, key performance
indicators, value measures, quality report cards, scorecard items,
and other metrics defined for multiple clinical integration
(value-based) programs and the ACO.
The Team Lead (CI) will also prepare and facilitate chapter
meetings in collaboration with the physician chair and WCP
Director, in addition to attending WCP Committee, Board, and
Special Initiative meetings, and monitoring the progress of
assigned chapter(s) and practices monthly. He/she must be able to
interpret requests for clinical quality and healthcare cost data
and support Quality Coordinators in creating actionable strategies
and summary reports.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in management or clinical arena with formal
training in health care quality and/or population health and/or
Nursing Degree; Master's degree in related field or specialty
certification in health care quality (CPHQ) preferred.
Preferred Certification:

preferred.
Required Minimum Experience:
8 - 10 years of healthcare operations experience; or 8 years
clinical experience as a Registered Nurse with a quality focus and
State licensure as an RN. Experience in a health care setting,
including skill with quality reporting and analysis.
Demonstrable understanding of healthcare compliance and/or
regulatory reporting requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of and success in implementing quality
improvement and/or population health interventions using systems
thinking, formal process improvement methodologies, and proven
quality improvement strategies (PDCA, Lean/Six Sigma).
Required Minimum Skills:
Ability to self-direct and appropriately delegate. Ability to
mentor and coach team members.
Ability to exercise judgment, problem solve, and make decisions
consistent with WellStar philosophy, goals, and objectives.
Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, project management,
and team-building skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work within all
levels of the organization.
