*POSITION: Client Data Specialist*
*Reports To*: CDS Manager
*Hours: * Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
*Objective: * Facilitate the daily data gathering and charge input
from all client accounts
*Job Responsibility as follows*
*Physical Demands: * Requires prolonged sitting, some bending,
stooping and stretching. Occasional lifting files or paper weighing
up to 25 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual
dexterity to operate a personal computer, keyboard, scanner,
telephone, calculator, fax machine and other office equipment.
Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in normal
range for telephone contacts and communications. Speaking abilities
must be adequate to interact appropriately with others, including
medical professionals, and co-workers. Must have adequate visual
acuity to read, interpret written materials and to perform required
procedures. Must be able to move about the office in confined
areas. Occasional high stress dealing with deadlines. Must be able
to maintain excellent standard of attendance according to
*Working Conditions: * Climate controlled shared office. Must be
able to endure long hours of looking at computer screens. Scanning
or importing data from client sites. Interaction with others is
constant, interruptive, and requires dedication and ability to
*Production Duties: *
-At the client site, or through email, gather documents that make
up the daily demographic and clinical support package, to include
final OR schedule(s), anesthesia records, billing summaries, OB
records, POP charge sheets.
-Review and answer charge entry clarifications/questions for charge
-Review all documents for completeness and accuracy. Determine if
the day's work is complete. Meet billing deadlines.
-Audit daily work package using audit worksheet/cover page provided
for client account.
-Reconcile any audit discrepancies.
-Secure any needed medical records for current and past accounts
from hospital sites.
-Import and scan daily work packages into Medsuite and save to the
network drive. --Work error ques and communicate when data has been
scanned and clarifications/questions are answered.
-Report to Manager monthly with work reports for Month End Review
-Maintain detailed records of daily closeouts, log on
-Maintain good communications with the staff at the client site to
include CRNA, MD, support staff, and administration.
-Maintain the highest standards of security and confidentiality in
medical record keeping.
-Inform Manager of hardware/software deficiencies.
-Coordinate incomplete records with the physician group for
-Attend meetings and committee participation as required.
-Perform other related work as assigned.
-Participate in audits when necessary.
