Applicants are encouraged to apply and be part of ATS's Aviation NDT Division.Job Description: The Aerospace NDT Tier 4 Inspector will include the following duties.In service and/or production inspections in at least 4 NDT methods from the following Visual (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonics (UT), Radiography (RT) under NAS-410 requirementsSpecial Process inspection to include Superficial Hardness Testing, ALCLAD Testing, Copper Sulfate Testing, Temper Etch and other related processesDetailed pre and post inspection documentation using both handwritten and computer methodsUse of complex test equipment requiring a high level of attention to detail and inspection focusRegular travel both domestically and internationallyMeeting directly with customers and representing the ATS brandWorking in both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions as requiredInspection of multiple aircraft models from differing manufacturers, sub-components, newly developed aerospace designsInspections performed in both team and individual settingsMinimum Requirements:Requirements & Preferences: Candidates must have the following credentials to apply and willing to perform the below duties.Certifiable to NAS-410 UT Level II in a minimum of four methods and 6 years NDT experience (see "Table A" below for hourly and classroom requirements, candidates must have documentation of prior experience and classroom) A minimum of 18 months prior aircraft experience (may be in a mechanical or quality capacity gained either in instructional or hands-on settings)Graduated with High School Diploma, GED or equivalentHave strong retention and comprehension regarding the use of complex inspection systemsWilling to travel on short notice both internationally and domesticallyAble to travel for both short term (days) and long-term inspections (weeks or months)Able to travel on short notice and have flexible scheduleHigh level of comprehensionWork well with others in a team environment or independentlyBe self-motivatedHave excellent communication skillsHave basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows, Power Point)Have good credit historyAble assist Level II and Level III inspectors with inspections and program related dutiesAid Level III in writing proceduresUtilize strong organizational skillsSpeak and write in the English languageMust be able to pass FAA drug and alcohol tests Must be able to pass ATS pre-employment drug and alcohol screeningHave clean driver's licenseWilling to work overtime as requiredExercise prompt and consistent work attendanceAble and willing to wear safety equipment such as masks, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, eye protection and other personal protection equipmentAble to pass NDT and Special Process related ATS examsWilling to access confirmed spaces for aircraft inspection accessNDT MethodsRequired Classroom Hours (Level II)Required Experience Hours(Level II)Liquid Penetrant32400Eddy Current80800Magnetic Particle32530Ultrasonics80800Radiography (Film)80800Visual24210Preferences:Certificated from Aeronautical or related Technical SchoolFAA A license holderPrior NDT or Special Processes experiencePrior experience with blueprint interpretationBi-LingualResponsibilities:Perform NDT and/or Special Process related inspectionsAssist Level II and Level III inspectors as requiredMentor co-inspectors as required to gain knowledge in unfamiliar inspection techniquesWork toward the goal of becoming II NDT Inspector in various methods not previously heldCompletion of all required inspection documentation in a timely matterPerform various duties as assigned by the Level III and NDT ManagementIndependently perform equipment setup and operationPerform system performance checks as requiredProtect intellectual and physical company propertyPrioritize under demanding conditionsCommunicate at high level with other team members and NDT ManagementEnsure proper tooling is in place prior to inspectionsProtection of issued communication and documentation equipmentArrange for shipment of required tooling to jobsite and monitor tracking informationWork Conditions:Indoor and outdoor conditions in all seasons (mainly indoor)Travel to customer facilitiesAbility to lift and carry 30 lbs.Regular Travel (> 90%) except for longer term contracts where travel should be considered
