Responsibilities
The RC Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the
team of analysts monitoring adherence of Revenue Cycle staff to
identified benchmarks and goals; investigating and analyzing the
root cause of failure to meet those benchmarks and goals, and for
creating and implementing course correction as appropriate. The RC
Quality Assurance Manager ensures development and implementation of
strategies to facilitate continuous operational improvement across
the health system impacting services in the inpatient, ambulatory
and physician practice settings for all aspects of Revenue Cycle
functions is aligned with the overall Organizational goals. The RC
Quality Assurance Manager compiles results from daily
audits/analysis and outcome assessments on accuracy of patient
data, both system-related and process-related, for Revenue
Management departments and for operational areas that impact
billing and/or collections and provides guidance and
recommendations to the Executive Director of RCCOS and other
leaders within the organization on trends that negatively impact
the organization.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, related field or ten
years commensurate experience is required.
Required Minimum Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years Healthcare management, vendor
management, or related experience required.
Required Minimum Skills:
i. Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to mentor and
teach.
ii. Must have ability to take charge and lead a team
iii. Skill in directing the work and activities of staff with the
ability to effectively delegate
iv. Knowledge of and skill in developing tools to manage complex
operating department roles within Revenue
Cycle functions
v. Extensive knowledge and experience with current practices,
regulations and techniques in revenue cycle
services
vi. Knowledge and experience in building and supporting teams /
collaborative workgroups
vii. Knowledge of the principles of information management to
effectively analyze data to support decision making
viii. Strong communication skills with ability to listen actively
and respond to employees, physicians, patients and
payer issues in a competent manner
ix. Ability to establish a climate to achieve optimal performance
levels
x. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
xi. Ability to identify external and internal changes and
communicate with leadership to engage in responsive initiatives or
actions both functionally and system-wide
xii. Must be professional with ability to lead projects and meet
deadlines Demonstrate ability to analyze, report, and provide
summary of functional Revenue Cycle areas
