Responsibilities

The Executive Director of the Comprehensive Access Center is responsible for the continued conceptual development and implementation of the department including all telephonic access points across the Wellstar Health System. This position works closely with hospital/system leadership, Marketing, and the Wellstar Medical Group to coordinate services across the continuum of care both directly to patients and as a service provider to internal and external providers.
The individual in this role brings experience in managing a call center environment and the design of services for a complex integrated health system. This position supports Wellstar’s ability to enhance outpatient services to best meet the business need of ambulatory access and customer care. He/she must have a strong understanding of patient access, business planning, call center key performance indicators, telephony platforms, data analytics and performance improvement. He/she must have the knowledge and ability to onboard new work into a call center environment to support service line outpatient scheduling and customer care.
This leader will bring proven experience in market research and growth in patient access. Using this knowledge, this individual will work to expand and improve access and customer care to Wellstar Health System for patients and providers.
The Executive Director of the Comprehensive Access Center will be considered a subject matter expert in access and customer care, specific to both telephonic and multi-channel capabilities. This individual will routinely meet with hospital and medical group leaders to ensure timely and efficient turn around of services. In a matrixed relationship, the Executive Director will provide operational support and guidance relating to patient access and customer care services. In addition, this leader will be responsible for ensuring Wellstar has the most advanced, efficient software, technology, and service to support a highly complex health system.
In this leadership role, he/she must maintain awareness of industry changes as well as changes in the technical and support services within the Comprehensive Access Center. Through innovation and collaboration, this leader will continue Wellstar’s efforts to deliver world-class patient care.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Masters Degree in Business Management or Health Services

Preferred Education: N/A

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: N/A

Preferred Licensure/Certification: Epic Cadence Certification or working knowledge of Epic Cadence, NAHAM CHAM

Required Minimum Experience: Five plus (5) years of progressive call center leadership with strategic growth responsibilities in medical management. Five (5) to Seven (7) years of management experience required. Experience in the growth and marketing of patient access (both telephonic and multi-channel) in a highly competitive environment is strongly preferred.
