What does a great Manager Credit Risk do?

As a Credit Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the risk investigation functions and analyst.

As a Manager Credit Risk you can look forward to:

Manage and develop staff to ensure they achieve individual and departmental objectives.

Identifying accounts for review, utilizing exception reports and other Security Systems.

Distribute reviews to staff timely and efficient manner

Develop enhancements and training on current processes to increase productivity, risk mitigation, staff knowledge.

Conduct manager reviews to eliminate excessive or unnecessary workload.

Monitor and analyze daily MIS report to ensure timeliness and productivity standards are adhered to.

Analyze and concur on all reviews completed by staff and give direction on additional work that may be necessary.

Work closely with analysts and upper management on high risk accounts.

Complete monthly reporting on Timeliness, productivity, and Risk Mitigation Standards.

Handle all escalated issues, merchant calls, and presidential escalations in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain and nurture positive and professional relationship between FDMS and the alliance banks, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues that may arise.

Interact with other departments within FDMS, including credit, MRM, PR, Collections, and Client Services, working together to resolve merchant issues and mitigate risk.

Will interact across all levels of personnel, partners, and vendors.

Will work independently or in a team environment with the capability to handle stressful situations.

Perform research and develop methodologies and tools to support service delivery.

Assist in large-scale investigations and other related projects as needed.

Stay abreast of any industry related business trends that would affect risk management.

Utilize time management skills to complete multiple daily tasks within established time requirements. This not only includes daily functions, but also, additional projects distributed by management.

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions while applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
