SummarySupervise school age children after school; assist with homework; implement daily lesson plans; promote a positive, nurturing environment.DutiesSupervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children after school and at all times; maintain Proper class ratio;Plan daily program (developmental activities) in detail for assigned age group; submit weekly lesson plans due by Thursday of each week;Assist with homeworkPlace toys and materials at children's level for their easy access;Assist in serving meals/snacks and sit with children while they eat;Check toys and equipment daily/weekly for their safe after school usage;Clean/disinfect the work environment including all equipment/toys daily according to center policies.Be familiar with and follow all center and State regulatory and After School policies and procedures;Report any special needs/problems, suspected child abuse to the Director/Assistant Director in a timely fashion;Communicate professionally and effectively with parents avoiding conflicts at all timesHandle discipline according to center and regulatory policies;Perform duties as a after school team member carrying out additional assignments as requested by Director/Asst. Director;Attend regular staff meetings;Maintain BFTS and Quality Rated 18 hours annual training;Follow PLOCC Personnel PoliciesRequirements1-2 Years of Child Care ExperienceNice To HavesWritten and verbal communication skillsThe ability to thrive in high stress environmentsClassroom management experienceOne or more of the following:Child Development Associate (CDA) credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.Child Development and Related Care diploma from a vocational institute accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; or similar credential where the course of study includes an intensive practicum in child care as part of the curriculum and which is approved by the Department;Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education or Child DevelopmentTechnical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Infant and ToddlerTechnical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Program Administration; DECAL 55 Rules for Child Care Learning CentersTechnical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in School Age and Youth CareTechnical College Diploma (TCD) in Early Childhood Education or Child DevelopmentAssociate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (AA, AAS, AAT)Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards CommissionTwenty-five (25) quarter hours or fifteen (15) semester hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child DevelopmentBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field other than Early Childhood Education or Child Development and three (3) months of qualifying child care experience;Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child DevelopmentMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.About UsPrecious Little One Child Care Center is a Child Care Learning Center in Dallas Georgia.
