The Stonehaven School is a non-profit 501(c)(3), nondenominational, classical Christian school, accredited through the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).Job DescriptionWe are looking for a teacher to help in the After School Program for the 2021-2022 school year. Stonehaven has a current enrollment of 179 students in Kindergarten through ninth grade. The After School Program has a daily attendance ranging from 3-10 students. The program begins at 3:10 PM and ends at either 6:00 PM or when the last student leaves, whichever is first.We are hiring an After School Program Director to begin work in August 2021. Key teacher attributes and job responsibilities are as follows: Candidate AttributesDevoted to consistent reading and study of God's word and prayer.Strives to consistently exhibit love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity in their daily work and relationships with others in the school.All staff members will strive to maintain a faithful daily walk with Christ and be active in a local Protestant church.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate, prepare, and execute daily activities, games, and lessonsMaintain a disciplined schedule of the activities, games, and lessons createdEnsure the safety and well-being of students Nurture and love students according to Biblical principles Oversee and help students complete homeworkDress professionally and appropriately, as outlined in the staff handbookEnforce Stonehaven's discipline policy, as outlined in the staff handbook Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior Maintain records for student attendance and registration in the programCompensation & Work Hours$13 per hour3:00 - 6:00 PM on school days + occasional evenings during school eventsQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with children and a clear Christian testimony.
