Job DescriptionThe leadership development program is a 24 - 30-month immersive experience for young professionals designed to prepare you for a career in organizational leadership.--The goal of our leadership development program is to launch you into an organizational leadership career.--Whether this is through moving on to Chick-fil-A's highly competitive corporate program to develop Chick-fil-A franchisees and corporate employees, or something else entirely, it is our goal to work with you to help successfully launch you into the next phase of your leadership journey.?Professional and Personal Development OpportunityThe work experience portion of the LDP program takes an immersive approach by placing each candidate in a position to experience all facets of the business, working their way into one of two operational director level roles. Here the candidate will spend time building a portfolio of projects or restaurant related improvements.Recommended Program Timeline:--- Six months training as a team member to learn all aspects of the restaurant--- Two months training as a Team Leader--- Four months in Supervisor positions--- Six months per Director Rotation--- Note: timelines are approximate and will vary based on business need, speed of personal development, and additional factors.Professional Developmento Develop your skills as a leader by being a leader.--While working at Chick-fil-A you will be mentored one-on-one to develop your business and management skills.o You will meet monthly with your Leadership development team, to discuss your victories and challenges, to set goals, and to plan for your future. These sessions will allow you to calibrate and continue to improve in both your work and personal development.Personal Developmento Deliver excellence in all areas of your life.--We invest in the individual to insure you are the best version of you to be successful in your future endeavors. Through DISC assessment, strength-based and personalized coaching, you will leave this experience with an incredible understanding of who you are and how to leverage your strengths in order to maximize your impact.o Special emphasis is placed on a candidate's self-knowledge and awareness. Different assessments will be provided based on an individual need or desire.o LDP participants will receive books at no cost that will be read throughout the program. The LDP will discuss these books at monthly meetings with a member of the development team.The Chick-fil-A Wayo There will be two rotations of Director Roles.--Listed below are some of the potential Director level positions that LDP participants could fill, including:o Kitchen Director: possesses expert level knowledge of food safety, optimizes kitchen workflow & processes, enforces strict adherence to established CFA guidelines, trains and develops team members, and works in conjunction with other leadership/directors to further restaurant initiatives.o Operations Director: assesses overall operational health of the restaurant, stays current on the most recent CFA standards, utilizes CFA reporting systems to analyze various aspects of the business, and implements change at both tactical and strategic levels.o Restaurant Marketing Director: works to grow sales by attracting new guests and increasing guest returns, plans and executes unique experiences, leverages all of Chick-fil-A's unique assets to create emotional connections with guests.o Drive Thru Director: works to increase car count and improve guest experience, drive thru speed and order accuracy, and focuses on continued improvement and innovation.Skills You Will Learn- Hospitality & customer service- Talent recruitment, selection and HR decisions- Training and development- Marketing and sales growth- Event planning and execution- Systems and operations- Quality assessment- Team leadership and management- Behavior coaching- Budgeting- Delegation- Managing a sales database- Project managementWhat Your Day by Day Looks Like- Come to work each day ready to learn, grow, and achieve personal excellence.- Participants will train as a team member in each area of the restaurant in order to gain proficiency before stepping into a leadership role.- Hospitality and Drive Thru experience- Kitchen experience- Shift leading experience in initial primary area- Growth in personal interviewing skills and in interviewing candidates- Training and developing your team- Setting business goals- Developing business systems- Monitoring business progress and leading change as necessaryPre-requisites:- A degree from an accredited four-year college or university, previous leadership experience in work or school, the ability to commit to a minimum of 24 months, and a flexible schedule (nights and weekends)- Ideal attributes: Driven, self-motivated, passionate, servant-hearted, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and a long-term goal orientationInterview Process:o Face to Face interview with top leadershipo Face to Face interview with Owner/Operatoro In-restaurant day (Cultural fit interview)/ Meet the teamo Discussion of Compensation (packages vary based on skill and experience)Some of the Benefits of completing The Leadership Development Program:- Improved performance by strengthening your management skills- Demonstrated ability to manage your team, your boss, and your colleagues more effectively- Develop a management style that suits your unique personality and skills- The ability to handle difficult management situations with greater clarity and certainty- Professional experience that will allow you to apply to a much wider range of leadership positions within any organization or industry- Proven and demonstrated excellence in hospitality and management skills- Full-time employee benefits including health insurance- PTO and Vacation days- Networking within Chick-fil-A- Monthly Leadership development topics- Bi-weekly one-on-one personal development sessions- A personal library of the best leadership books available at no cost- Paid travel to assist and learn at Grand Opening events at other Chick-fil-A's across the nation.
