Responsibilities The Senior Vice President (SVP) Ancillary and Support Services of Wellstar Health System will report to the Executive Vice President Ambulatory and Business Development. The position is responsible for the effective strategic, operational, and financial activities of the ancillary and support services of the System including Rehabilitation and Sports Services, Diagnostic Outreach, Pharmacy and Laboratory Services, and Sleep Services. This leader will partner with key administrative and clinical leadership stakeholders across the System to strengthen the effectiveness of ancillary and support services clinical operations as well as with hospital leadership to ensure optimal alignment with inpatient operations and ambulatory care . This individual supports the development of growth and improvement strategies; determining productivity; designing programs and procedures; resolving problems; implementing change; and serving in a mentorship capacity for members of the ancillary and support services leadership team. This individual relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective services. The SVP creates connectivity, cohesiveness, and standardization among ancillary service areas to align and ensure consistent care is provided to all patients regardless of point of entry and services provided. The Senior Vice President Ancillary and Support services guides the strategic direction across each ancillary service, advocate for system support, implement strategic plans in conjunction with operational owners. This leader promotes, reinforces and personally demonstrates the Vision, Mission and Values of Wellstar to all patients, team members, medical staff members and the communities the System serves. Qualifications Required Minimum Education : Master s degrees in business, healthcare management or related field are required. Required MinimumLicensure/Certification : N/A Preferred Licensure/Certification : N/A Required Minimum Experience: Fifteen (15) years of progressive healthcare administration experience. Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role in a large complex healthcare institution or a multi-hospital system. Demonstrated success and expertise in broad operational healthcare leadership, including past successes improving patient satisfaction, employee engagement and trust, fiscal performance and clinical quality. Demonstrable effectiveness in leading quality initiatives. Ability to influence positive and sustainable change in an urgent and fast-paced environment required. Experience in leading large clinical and ancillary teams preferred. Required_Minimum_Skills * Strong interpersonal qualities and the demeanor and style to quickly establish credibility in the organization. * Superior physician relation building skills. * Ability to organize and present data in a concise and easily understood manner, often to executive leadership, physicians and board members. * Ability to use data to create accountability structures to drive success. * Success in accumulating and analyzing appropriate data and formulate actionable plans to achieve goals. * Comfort with a competitive and complex healthcare market. * Sensitivity to the family-like aspects and community-bas aspects of the culture of Wellstar Health System and has a comfort level with integrating these attributes of the culture in planning for the future business of the organization. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to represent the Wellstar Health System in formal and informal settings. * Creative problem-solving skills with the willingness to take the initiative in leading change as well as the ability to effectively manage change. * Understanding of and a commitment to patient experience as a necessary component for success. * Management philosophy and behavior which exemplifies integrity and strength of character, people sensitivity and respect for others, collaboration and team building, willingness to share and teach, customer service orientation and commitment to quality in all endeavors.
