Job Description:
Piedmont Oncology is seeking a skilled Malignant Hematologistto
join our expanding oncology service line and lead our program for
patients with hematologic malignancies and related disorders. This
position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional,
patientcentered care while leading this effort in clinical
excellence, program development, novel therapeutics and research,
and collaboration across all Piedmont Healthcare.
This full-time position supports a rapidly growing cancer program
at our flagship Atlanta location and across Piedmonts 27-hosptial
system.
Piedmont Oncology is one of the largest community hospital-based
cancer programs in the United States, diagnosing and treating more
than 15,500 cancer patients annually.With over 40 cancer care
delivery locations across Georgia and a team of more than 230
dedicated oncology providers, Piedmont delivers comprehensive,
high-quality care.The program is proudly accredited by the
Commission on Cancer at an Integrated Network Cancer Program.
The ideal BC/BE candidate will be self-motivated to excel as a
clinician and work well with other providers both locally and
across Piedmont Oncology. The BE/BC candidate will require a
Georgia medical license. He/she must have strong communication
skills and genuine compassion for the patients and the patients
family/support teams. The successful candidate will practice in an
outpatient clinic setting and supervise an infusion center near the
clinic. Piedmont Oncology will provide numerous opportunities to
participate in and lead research and care pathway initiatives
across the system.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will deliver highquality care for patients with
hematologic malignancies and help advance Piedmonts mission to
provide leadingedge oncology services across Georgia. The role
includes opportunities to lead and develop clinical trials, support
program growth, and collaborate with an integrated network of
cancer specialists.
