The ICU unit has a 14-bed capacity, catering to patients requiring intensive monitoring and ventilator support. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver expert nursing care to medical ICU patients with common diagnoses such as respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, DKA, and stroke. - Manage invasive monitoring including arterial lines, central venous lines, and intracranial pressure monitoring. - Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, insulin drips, heparin drips, and manage ventilator support. - Perform bedside procedures including chest tube and tracheostomy care. - Collaborate with CNAs, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, and intensivists to provide comprehensive patient care. - Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and employ various unit-specific equipment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience. - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. - CCRN certification strongly preferred but not mandatory. - Skilled in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and managing critical drips. - Ability to manage patients with chronic ventilators and hemodynamic instability.
