Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care / Telemetry – Georgia Start
Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36
hours per week; 12-hour shifts; every other weekend; rare call with
2-hour response time Highlights: Overflow IMCU environment caring
for adults to geriatrics with complex cardiac, medical-surgical,
and telemetry needs Patient ratio of 1:5–6 on a 32-bed unit with
comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory,
pharmacy, and rapid response teams Epic charting system (preferred)
with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
Diverse case mix including arrhythmia management, post-cardiac cath
care, cardiac drips, cardioversion, CHF, DKA, surgical patients,
and more 13-week assignment with up to 7 days of requested time
off; local candidates welcome Comprehensive orientation with
non-billable hours tailored to contract length Requirements: Active
Georgia or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at time of
application) Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience
required; first-time travelers not accepted Current BLS and ACLS
certifications required; NIHSS preferred Demonstrated experience
with cardiac drip titration (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine,
dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat,
bumex, lasix) Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, arrhythmia
interpretation and management, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-PCI
patient care Strong skills in IV starts, port access, phlebotomy,
BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula, feeding tube care,
insulin drip titration, and blood product administration Experience
with TR bands, central and peripheral line management, and heparin
protocols Epic charting experience strongly preferred Two
supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at
time of submission Must be available to complete compliance
requirements and labs within 48 hours of contract signing Why It's
