Diem/PRN - Mercy Lincoln and Nearby Areas This role is for a
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will work on a flexible, per
diem basis at our hospital and its affiliated facilities. The
position entails delivering patient care under the supervision of
registered nurses across various departments, such as Behavioral
Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical. This requires a range
of certifications and hands-on experience. The job offers varied
shifts with incentives, highlighting the importance of flexibility,
patient confidentiality, and professional responsibility in a

nursing process to deliver patient care under the oversight of
licensed professionals authorized to prescribe medications and
treatments, or under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Maintains accountability for the care provided to assigned patients
and collaborates with other departments to coordinate patient care
while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Position

Incentive W-2 Employee Status Minimum of 12 hours every 90 days
Maximum of 30 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday) Available shifts
of 4, 8, or 12 hours Variable Shift Incentives Work When and Where
You Prefer! Overview: Are you looking for a flexible, incentivized
position as a Licensed Practical Nurse? You can choose between day
or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory
weekend, holiday, or shift requirements. Participation in the Gig
Nursing Program entails being responsible for scheduling a minimum
number of hours, being available on short notice, and being
adaptable to last-minute shift cancellations. Please note that the
Gig Nursing Program does not guarantee shift hours and will be the
first to experience cancellations. The Licensed Practical Nurse -
GIG will have the opportunity to float between the designated
facilities of their choice. Departments Utilizing GIG LPNs:
Behavioral Health (BH) Emergency Department (ED) Intensive Care
Unit (ICU) Medical-Surgical (MS) Facilities/Locations: Mercy St.
Louis - St. Louis, MO Mercy Jefferson - Festus, MO Mercy South -
South St. Louis County, MO Mercy Washington - Washington, MO Mercy
Lincoln - Troy, MO Mercy Perry - Perryville, MO Mercy Southeast -
Cape Girardeau, MO Mercy Stoddard - Dexter, MO Qualifications:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing
program; equivalent educational experience and successful licensure
will also be considered. It is the candidate's responsibility to
obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state where
nursing duties are performed, adhering to all State Board of
Nursing requirements. Experience: At least one year of recent
bedside LPN experience is required for Medical-Surgical roles. For
other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.), a minimum of two years of recent
bedside LPN experience is necessary. Certifications: For
Medical-Surgical (MS) - BLS certification required. For Critical
Care (CC) - BLS and ACLS certifications required. For Emergency
Department (ED) - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. IV
certification is mandatory. Preferred Experience: Experience with
Epic software is advantageous. Physical Requirements/Demands: This
position necessitates the ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to
50 pounds regularly. Prolonged standing and walking are required
during each shift, along with the capability to grip, reach, bend,
kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities. Why Join
