Physician Overview: The Occupational Medicine Physician plays a
vital role in delivering thorough and culturally sensitive medical
care that addresses work-related injuries and illnesses. This
position ensures adherence to safety protocols and regulatory
standards. The physician will take on a leadership role in
occupational health, collaborating with various healthcare leaders
and actively engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and
patient satisfaction. Candidates are required to possess an MD or
DO, be board certified, and have relevant licenses and experience

Occupational Medicine Physician will work in close collaboration
with the Senior Director of Practice Operations, Nurse Manager, SVP
of Ambulatory Care Services, and AVP of Primary Care to ensure the
delivery of high-quality, safe, timely, and patient-focused care.
This role is essential in supporting our mission and vision through
effective leadership in occupational medicine functions. Key
Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality, proactive, and
culturally competent medical care. Facilitate appropriate handoffs
for work-related injuries and illnesses to the Workers'
Compensation vendor; assist with incident management and OSHA
reporting. Participate in committee meetings and provide reports to
ensure employee medical compliance. Collaborate with the Director
of Employee Occupational Health and Wellness to meet all regulatory
and organizational guidelines. Identify clinical issues for quality
improvement, process enhancement, and research projects, and work
on their implementation. Maintain active privileges on the Medical
Staff and ensure timely completion of necessary administrative
tasks. Monitor in-basket messages and ensure timely completion of
charts and forms. Collaborate with the AVP of Primary Care and
Practice Manager to oversee clinical operational processes,
including cycle time, volume, access, and quality of care. Respond
promptly and effectively to patient complaints and monitor patient
satisfaction scores. Utilize evidence-based practices for
diagnosing and treating patients, ensuring that supervised
providers do the same. Implement AIDET principles and take personal
responsibility for engaging with patients. Promote a culture of
collaboration, professionalism, safety for patients and colleagues,
quality care, and continuous improvement. Attend monthly department
and clinic meetings. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Doctorate of Medicine (MD or DO) is required. Board
Certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, or
Internal Medicine is necessary. A minimum of 3 years of experience
in Occupational Medicine is required. Must possess an active,
unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia. A current DEA
license is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Certification as a
Medical Examiner (CME) or eligibility is preferred. We are an Equal
