A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is needed for a contract opportunity in Marietta, GA, offering a dynamic role supporting surgical teams in both hospital and outpatient settings. This position requires proficiency in moderate to high acuity surgical cases and a commitment to maintaining safety and sterile technique throughout procedures. Key Responsibilities include: Assisting the healthcare team under a registered nurses direction to deliver culturally aware, age-appropriate patient care. Preparing and maintaining the operative suite and sterile fields, ensuring all instruments and supplies meet case requirements. Anticipating surgeon and team needs during procedures, passing instruments, gowning staff, and assisting with surgical draping. Supporting inventory management, ordering, and stocking of operating rooms and perioperative areas. Participating in performance improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with patient safety and regulatory standards. Mentoring or training new staff and students to foster skill development within the team. Providing on-call support including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by recognized bodies or equivalent certification. National certification as a Surgical Technologist and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proven capability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Competence in surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique with attention to detail. Basic computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel. Schedule/Hours: Day shift, four 10-hour shifts weekly (7:00 am 5:30 pm), flexible with various days. On-call responsibilities three times per month including one weekend. Coverage during major and minor holidays.
