Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Marietta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,040 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: OR RN Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Less than 1 year License: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; strong critical thinking skills; basic computer skills Description: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The RN practices in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders. The working framework is supported through a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the relevant professional standards. The individual is expected to uphold the voice of the patient while supporting service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities: Performs the Nursing Process in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice. Creates individualized care plans by assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Provides relationship-based patient-centered care adaptable to population-specific characteristics. Partners with patients and significant others, ensuring their goals are the focus of the plan of care. Practices using current clinical standards. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care. Communicates effectively through diverse and inclusive methods. Demonstrates teamwork by promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. Supports performance improvement initiatives and participates in shared governance. Professional Development and Initiative: Completes all required professional competency assessments and ongoing education. Serves as a preceptor and mentor for professional nurses and other staff. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in decision-making processes for patient care products. Upholds all organizational policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Participates in data collection and uses evidence to address practice questions. Resources and Support: Proactively plans for patient care across the continuum. Participates in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. Supports efficient use of resources within the clinical environment. Performs other duties as assigned and complies with policies and codes of conduct.
