Life Support Must-Have: - Must be licensed and knowledgeable in
nursing practices. - Ability to read, write, and speak English. -
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. - Excellent time
management and critical thinking skills. - Ability to function in a
fast-paced environment. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a
proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of care providers.
They ensure patients and families receive individualized
high-quality, safe patient care. The practice environment is
administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared
governance model. Patient care is guided by a professional practice
model and evidence-based practices. All RN Clinical Nurses uphold
nursing practices as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice
Act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics
Standards. Core responsibilities include performing the nursing
process effectively. This involves assessment, diagnosis, planning,
implementation, and evaluation of clinical care. They provide
relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to cultural
diversity. Effective communication with patients and significant
others is essential. RN Clinical Nurses manage and oversee the care
of complex, high-acuity pediatric patients. They conduct hourly
assessments and monitoring. Direct clinical care provided will be
culturally and developmentally appropriate. They will manage
ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and oscillators effectively. Cardiac
rhythm assessment and analysis are part of the role. Continuous
vital signs monitoring is included. RN Clinical Nurses also manage
vasoactive, sedation, and insulin drips. They run and analyze
bedside point-of-care tests. Support and leadership during
pediatric codes using PALS algorithms are required. Assisting with
bedside procedures is part of the role. Coordination and
documentation of patient care delivery are essential. Teamwork and
collaboration are key in the delivery of safe quality patient care.
Participation in performance improvement activities is expected.
Professional development includes completing mandatory education
and competency assessments. Opportunities to mentor and precept
other nurses and staff are encouraged. The RN Clinical Nurse
