Pay Information $2,300 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours (0645 - 1715) Experience: Less than 1 year preferred License: RN - Single State or Multi-State Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Must-Have: Diploma from an accredited nursing program Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred Ability to read, write, and speak English Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies Possess excellent time management skills Strong critical thinking skills Description: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core competencies. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards established by the relevant professional association. As a member of the patient services team, they uphold the voice of the patient and system policies. They also support service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: They perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care is individualized, coordinated through effective partnerships, and centered on achieving optimal patient care outcomes. Patient-centered care reflects cultural diversity and adapts service delivery based on population-specific characteristics. The nurse partners with the patient and significant others using appropriate methods for communication. They practice according to current clinical practice standards.
