Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: Minimum years of
experience required in direct patient care License: RN - Reg Nurse
(Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac
Life Support Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English

critical thinking skills Description: The RN Clinical Nurse
Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.
They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive
individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a
clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and
supported by a governance model. The framework for practice is
directed by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based
practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these
models and supported by core values. It is expected that all RN
Clinical Nurses Critical Care are licensed, knowledgeable, and
uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the state Nursing
Practice Act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of
Ethics Standards put forth by relevant nursing associations. As a
member of the patient services team, it is expected that the
individual upholds the voice of the patient while supporting
service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential
Functions: Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: The RN performs the
Nursing Process, including assessment, diagnosis, identification of
outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They use
evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure that care
is individualized. They coordinate care through effective
partnerships, recognizing that caring is central to achieving
optimal patient care outcomes. The RN provides relationship-based
patient-centered care consistent with population-specific
characteristics. They adapt service delivery to reflect an
understanding of cultural diversity. The RN partners with the
patient and significant others using appropriate communication
methods. They practice using current clinical practice standards.
Teamwork and Collaboration: They coordinate the delivery and
documentation of safe, quality patient care. This includes diverse
interdisciplinary communication methods and timely documentation.
The RN demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a
fiscally responsible manner. They participate in and support
performance improvement and research utilization to promote quality
patient care. Professional Development and Initiative: The RN
completes all initial and ongoing professional competency
assessments and required education. They serve as a preceptor and
mentor for other professional nurses and staff to ensure a
qualified workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: The RN
promotes evidence-based practice and nursing research while
participating in data collection. Resources and Support: They
proactively plan for the care of patients across the care
continuum. The RN participates in the development of protocols and
procedures as needed. They support the efficient and effective use
