Pay Information $1,810 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required upon hire Must-Have: Heparin IV administration experience; must be available every other weekend and for two major and two minor holidays Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment managed by Nurse Managers. Support is provided through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice. Competencies are derived from these models and supported by nursing values. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, individuals are expected to uphold the voice of the patient. They must also support system policies and procedures while striving for service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The RN performs the Nursing Process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, identifying outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care is coordinated through effective partnerships. Patient-centered care is provided in a manner that reflects cultural diversity. Partnerships with patients and significant others are prioritized. Current clinical practice standards are applied. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordination of safe, quality patient care and documentation is essential. Diverse and inclusive communication methods are employed. Team collaboration is practiced in a fiscally responsible manner. Participation in performance improvement activities is required. Professional Development and Initiative: All initial and ongoing professional competency assessments must be completed. Individuals may serve as preceptors or mentors for other healthcare professionals. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promotion of evidence-based practice and nursing research is encouraged. Upholding all organizational policies and procedures is fundamental. Participation in data collection and relevant clinical question posing is expected. Resources and Support: Proactive planning for patient care across the continuum is essential. Development of protocols and procedures is encouraged. Support for efficient use of resources is expected. Additional duties as assigned. Complies with all policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required education includes an Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing school.
