Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Georgia or Compact State nursing license required Certifications: BLS preferred Must-Have: Two supervisory references preferred. Description: Weekend work required every other weekend. No call shifts are expected. Floating may occur within the facility but only within the scope of practice and may include floating to CNA/Tech roles as needed. The minimum experience required is 2 years and first-time travelers are accepted. Once the candidate is confirmed, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and confirm if the unit, schedule, and expertise are a good fit. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls within the assignment period. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to ensure timely start dates. If not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Return travelers must complete one successful assignment outside of their previous facility before being eligible to rebook. Modules will be non-billable and are completed during orientation, varying by specialty. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
