• Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Interventional Vascular **Job Specialty:** Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Day, 4x10, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, with on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays (2 major, 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 1 year RN experience required **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** Ability to communicate and understand English, both verbal and written, and display a positive attitude. **Job Description:** - Functions under the direction of the Site Manager. - Perform a wide variety of clinical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the use of equipment for diagnosing and treating diseases. - Implement the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. - Provide patient care with an understanding and awareness of age-specific needs. - Address the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs in providing care to patients and families. - Independently perform job functions. - Completion of V-ARU competencies. - Provide pre- and post-procedure care for invasive, interventional, and surgical procedures. - Use critical thinking skills and deliver patient care in complex, multiple-problem situations. - Verify patient ID using 2 patient identifiers, such as an armband, DOB, and verbal identification. - Verify front of patient chart for same/similar name sticker. - Verify Written Order and seek clarification if unclear. - Understand and comply with verbal order RBAC and perform necessary follow-up with a written order. - Use and understand preprocedural verification/time-out form when appropriate. - Be flexible with hours to meet department needs and work scheduled and on-call hours if necessary. - Introduce self to patient and/or guardian upon entering the room using proper scripting. - Transport patients as needed, providing privacy and comfort. - Assist with the maintenance of departmental records, standards, regulations, and performance improvement. - Complete necessary paperwork, QA/QC functions, and assist in other medical imaging areas and departments as needed. - Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications. - Understand the scope of service for the Vascular Institute, VARU, and Medical Imaging. - Assist in in-service/training for other Medical Imaging staff as appropriate. - Review cases with appropriate physician(s) as needed. - Recognize that total patient care starts when the patient arrives at the facility and ends when the physician/patient have the imaging results. - Meet service recovery and customer service guidelines as needed. - Responsible for patient and family/support system education, providing post-procedural home care instructions as needed.25832714EXPTEMPJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
