Come grow with us!Green 5 West Heart Failure/Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a 29 bed Joint Commission certified Heart Failure specialized care unit. The primary focus of the unit is on the care of Heart Failure cardiac patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring pre and post electrophysiology procedures and patients with newly diagnosed or chronic congestive heart failure. Common admitting diagnoses include pre and post cardiac catheterizations that require no interventions, congestive heart failure patients, pre and post pacemaker/AICD implantation with suspected or significant potential rhythm disturbances and acute coronary syndrome.Nursing activities include monitoring, rhythm interpretation, fluid and electrolyte monitoring, inotropic therapy, respiratory status, pre/post procedure care, medical management, rehabilitation initiation, and comfort/palliative care measures as indicated. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. • Promotes Evidence based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing. Participates in activities such as value analysis as part of the decision-making process in evaluating patient care products.

• QualificationsRequired Minimum Education
  • Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience Required

  • Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
