Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides professional public health nursing services in accordance with Georgia State Nursing

Protocols.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Provide wide range of Public Health Nursing Services including Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection testing and treatment, Immunizations and Well Women and Breast Test and exams using Department of Public Health Nurse Protocols for Registered Professional Nurses.

- Work alongside Medical Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to evaluate the health of patients and create treatment plans for patients aged 12-65

- Provide patient education about available support services and helping them access care

- Working with public health officials to help underserved communities gain access to care

- Emphasizing primary prevention in order to avoid disease or injury before it occurs
- 1 year of Public Health or clinic experience
- Must have Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

- Must have AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

- Interest in protecting community health
