Purpose of the Position: Leads and provides general assistance to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of outreach health services. Provides general assistance to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates healthcare/educational programs. Directs subordinate staff of nurses and support personnel. Plans, organizes, and executes vaccine administration at external settings in Cobb and Douglas Counties. Coordinates with internal and external partners to expedite screening, assessment, and vaccine administration in vulnerable/underserved populations. This position works to promote the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

* Functions independently and with groups, critical thinking skills are a must.
* Identifies high-risk populations and tailors interventions based on the needs of the population and the resources available.
* Screens and refers clients to other community service providers.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Public Health Nursing experience, particularly with immunizations. Excellent computer and communication skills

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Position does not require excessive physical exertion but is not a sedentary position. Requires lifting of less than 50 pounds of educational materials or supplies, walking through local facilities on-site visits, and desk work.

Salary Information: $73,108.00 Annually / Pay Grade N
