The Center for Outreach and Research Engagement (C.O.R.E.) at
Georgia State University is dedicated to supporting the increase of
enrollment of underrepresented students, improving the success of
underrepresented students and impacting the number of
underrepresented students engaged in undergraduate research
experiences which include creative and scholarly activities.
Center for Outreach and Research Engagement (C.O.R.E.) is seeking

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Sponsor Funded
Executive Director are the following:
Financial Oversight:
The Executive Director will be responsible for the oversight and
distribution of the PBI grant funds, including oversight of staff
and monthly faculty coordinator compensation. Additionally, the
Executive Director will serve as the chief financial officer for
the grant and, therefore, will be responsible for the accurate
preparation of all financial documents and the timely reporting to
funding partners.
Supervision:
The Executive Director will be responsible for hiring and
supervising an administrative assistant, three full-time
sponsored-funded executives, as well as selecting and overseeing
all activities of the faculty coordinators, research faculty, and
research collaborators. In addition, the Executive Director will
work collaboratively with department chairs to schedule faculty
coordinator workloads, as well as work with the directors and
coordinators of TRIO and high school counseling offices to plan and
organize outreach programming.
Planning:
The Executive Director will work with the Associate Dean for
Academic Affairs and the senior leadership team of Perimeter
College to plan events, to coordinate undergraduate research
opportunities, and to provide leadership of the STEM incubator and
retention programming, as well as coordinate monthly partnership
meetings and organize and lead Perimeter College outreach
events.
Partnerships:
The Executive Director will direct the efforts of the outreach and
research coordinators to build strong community partnerships with
target high schools and community organizations.
Monitoring Efficacy:
The Executive Director will be responsible for monitoring and
assessing the efficacy of the outreach, research efforts, and
making necessary adjustments in response to the assessment of the
programming.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree and ten years of related experience; or a
combination of education and related experience. Master's degree
preferred.
