Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to Know the Opportunity: Application Development Leader will partner with the business and deliver application solutions while working as part of a technology team focused on support of our Investment Management organization. The candidate will need to be a hands-on developer and be able to multi-task with managing agile development teams. Directly responsible for results produced by the team/group/sub-unit managed. The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Understand business application needs and develop code to met those needs
  • Partners with customers and IT organization to define, develop, and implement appropriate staffing to support Investment Management business operations.
  • Establishes the appropriate work environment, structures, and processes to ensure that overall quality goals are established, monitored, and satisfied for all work activities.
  • Partners with critical business and IT areas to ensure that all projects/efforts are adequately defined, managed, and completed
  • Candidate will have a variety of accountabilities as a leader of agile development teams.
  • Staff and supervise application development team to ensure results meet negotiated customer expectations and adhere to internal IT standards, methodologies, and strategies.
  • Collaborates with customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify customer requirements, assess impacts to other data, systems, products or services, compare costs and benefits, consider available technologies and processes and recommends solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentoring less experienced developers
  • Provide hands on coding as needed up to 50% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master's Degree preferred.
    • 10 years of experience, 5 of those years in tech leadership and managerial roles.
    • Experience working with enterprise data platforms and warehouses.
    • Strong experience working with Microsoft Development tools, including C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL Server.
    • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse clientele.
    • Significant experience in multiple areas of IT field, including new computing architectures, systems support strategies, IT Services and/or process and project methodologies.
    • Previous experience leading a team of full stack MS developers working on end to end solutions Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
      • Microsoft .Net and Azure certifications
      • Financial industry experience with Investment Management including Private Alternatives
      • Prior financial and organizational management experience #LI-JC1Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
