GENERAL MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW

Oversee Store Managers and team members making sure they follow all processes and procedures resulting in superior service, consistent product, happy culture & healthy stores (safe & clean). Drive profitability by consistently meeting and exceeding key performance indicators goals. Support Area Manager. Communicate PLP Daddy news & updates. Use our Learning Management System to train our models and methodologies. Greet each person with a warm smile, ask how their day is going and personalize the Love! It always an Awesome day at Peace Love and Pizza.

GENERAL MANAGER Minimal Requirements

  • 45-hour average work week.
  • General Manager experience or PLP Assistant Manager level experience for 6 months.
    • Ability and availability to open and close the store.
    • Good driving record. Pass MVR.
    • Minimum age requirement 21 years old. Preferred minimum age 25 years old.
    • Completed all Assistant Manager level LMS activities. Complete within 6 weeks if hired from outside PLP.
    • Meets or exceeds all Assistant Manager position description requirements, duties and expectations.
    • Physical requirements. Must be able to perform all store functions and use all store equipment.GENERAL MANAGER DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
      • Develop and Train people. Train new team members closely by personally demonstrating how to complete the training activity. Use mapping and tools available as an aid. Use a coaching management style to develop existing team members.
      • Hiring. Happy, friendly and smart. Use interview questionnaires, any available assessment and application for all interviews.
        • Exceptional customer service and friendly personality. Know and successfully use the Customer Problem Resolution Model.
          • Compliance. Enforce all Peace Love and Pizza policy, including kitchen policy & general policy
          • Visual Information Centers. Keep documents current. Understand and follow all posted procedures. Train team members on posted procedures and policy.
          • Repair & Maintenance. Report emergency equipment failures to Area Manager (or owner if no Area Manager) immediately. Use vendor information center to schedule repairs.
          • Safety. General store and delivery safety.
          • Scheduling. Use POS and Hot Schedules to schedule labor and meet labor goals.
          • Inventory life cycle. Food ordering, receive invoices in POS, post waste / transfers, end of month count and close period.
          • Food management. Print prep list and use effectively. Date and rotate all food as prepped and received. Waste expired and spoiled food.
          • Marketing. Build sales by attracting new customers and communicating with existing customers. Promote the Peace Love and Pizza brand across multiple segments, including businesses, schools, community organizations, residential, multi-unit housing, hotels and other segments planned during weekly management meeting.
          • Technology. Effectively and efficiently implement and execute new and existing technological platforms to run overall business model. Call support to maintain systems and resolve issues.
          • Security. Respond to break in phone calls from alarm company by answering phone at all hours and coming to store to secure. Respond to any other security needs from store employees or authorities immediately.
          • Meet company goals, including labor, food, customer service and sales growth.
          • Learning Management System (LMS). Continually learn advanced skills in key strategic areas. Once a learning module is completed, you are expected to know and use that skill effectively in your role.
          • LMS. Schedule and develop store management team. Follow up on all completed modules by reviewing follow up questions and quiz results with managers.
          • Conduct regular team member reviews to determine position happiness, raises and promotions.
          • Identify future stars to keep management pipeline full.
          • General Manager meeting. Meet with Area Manager weekly. Be prepared to review and provide feedback / answers on all agenda items. Have binder up to date and organized. Complete all action items.
          • Internal Management meeting. Schedule and lead meeting with Assistant Manager weekly. Follow agenda. This is your communication point to improve store and celebrate successes. Get input from management team.
          • Store Management Meeting. Conduct quarterly meetings with ALL store managers. Follow internal meeting agenda. This meeting should replace internal meeting that same week. Conduct this meeting more often as needed determined by Area Manager.
          • Monthly Management meeting. Meet with PLP Daddy monthly. Be prepared to review and provide feedback / answers on all agenda items. Have binder up to date and organized. Complete all action items.
          • Team member counseling and conflict resolution. Provide verbal and written counseling needed to resolve conflict and hold team members accountable to their position description, policies and procedures. Verbal counseling must be followed up with confirmed POS message. Written counseling must be signed off and uploaded in ADP employee documents. Any counseling must have a witness at a position above the person being counseled.
          • Replace weak links when necessary. Training and development are preferred when possible. One weak link leads to a weak chain and store.Required
