Our client is a growing, family oriented company with multiple locations in the north Atlanta area (Peachtree Corners and Marietta). The Director of People will serve as the face of Human Resources to the employees. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day support to employees, HR partnership and consulting to managers that will help build capability and the right talent, leadership and culture to grow the business. They will help align the organizational talent toward strategic objectives through processes structured toward development and retention. The role will require the ability to build trust across all stakeholder groups and galvanize managers and employees to optimize organizational / team performance and achieve full potential. This position is part of the leadership team and will report directly to the President of the company but work closely with the CEO. This is a hybrid position and you can work in either the Peachtree Corners or Marietta location. Job Responsibilities:

  • Make recommendations and help implement practices and programs to promote a high level of employee morale and engagement
  • People and Organizational changes management
  • Assist with organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention and change management.
  • Ensure that local HR processes and policies are in line with employment law, best practice and other regulations. They will use appropriate methods of communication to support managers with the interpretation of HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws. Assists with development, optimization, and documentation of HR policies, forms and processes
  • Provide counsel to managers on performance expectations, code of conduct and fair employment policies and practices
  • Support acquire talent that meets current and future business capability needs
  • Assists managers in identifying training requirements
  • Own various aspects of the compensation cycle and processes
  • Lead the management of employee relations issues including investigations, manager and employee coaching for assigned client groups.
  • Creating and adoption of the local on-boarding & off-boarding programs and supporting hiring managers in giving the new hires a " first in class" on-boarding experience
  • Demonstrate functional / technical proficiency, particularly in the areas of coaching, facilitation, staffing, compensation, change management, organizational effectiveness, legislative and regulatory compliance.
  • Continue to build knowledge and awareness of best practices and legal compliance in HR Policies/Procedures/ Strategies.Job Qualifications & Experience
    • A Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years of high performing work experience in Human Resources
    • Strong employee relations skills - viewed as a trusted partner by both employees and leaders
    • Experience proactively identifying Human Resources opportunities
    • Experience creating a purpose driven cultureCompensation
      • Base Salary $110k/year plus bonus and benefits
