A highly recognized acute care hospital is looking for a Nurse Director Oncology to join their incredible nursing leadership team in Northern Georgia!The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Director will lead a team of experienced staff on the Surgical Oncology Unit. This Surgical Oncology unit provides exceptional post-surgical care for various cancer related surgeries. The RN Director of Inpatient Oncology will report directly to the Vice President of Care Services. The Nurse Director of Inpatient Oncology will be responsible for department budgeting, clinical competence and compliance of staff, ensuring patient safety, analyzing department strengths and weaknesses, and implementation of policies and procedures.This 500+ bed facility provides inpatient care to almost 25,000 patients each year. The healthcare system is at the forefront of cancer research, innovation, and discovery. The discoveries in cancer cell biology, genetics, drugs, radiation, surgery, and other therapies within this system are producing the best treatments available today. -The RN Director Oncology will oversee operations for a 40+ bed unit with approximately 100+ FTEs. This state-of-the-art facility seeks an experienced Oncology nurse leader or experienced post-operative surgical unit leader who holds their MSN.
