Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Highway Engineer III for our Infrastructure-Transportation practice in Atlanta, GA. - -If you are an experienced engineer interested in growing your skills and working on exciting projects, then this is a great opportunity for you. The Highway Engineer candidate will be responsible for roadway/highway analysis and design, plans production, specifications, reports, and estimates efforts on conventional and design-build projects for GDOT, county and municipal clients. Additional responsibilities include monitoring labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects; coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications; meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects; and supporting marketing and business development initiatives. -Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university;
• 10+ years of experience in roadway/highway engineering;
• Georgia professional engineering (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment;
• Experience working on intersections, arterials, interstate, and interchanges for state and county clients;
• Proficient in MicroStation, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer;
• Experience working with large multi-discipline teams;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management; and;
• Conscientious of project schedules and deadlines involving deliverables (including interim deadlines). -Preferred Qualifications:
  • GDOT experience
  • Experience working on General Engineering Consultant and Design-Build contracts
