Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. Provide specialized educational support as a Teacher
for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a full-time,
contract role within a K-12 school setting. This position serves
students in the Chattanooga area, specifically in Soddy Daisy, TN,
supporting their unique learning needs throughout the school year
contract period from January 5 to May 21, 2026. The role requires
on-site presence with no remote or hybrid options. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and support for K-12
students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accordance with their
individual schedules and educational plans. Collaborate with
general education teachers, support staff, and families to
facilitate effective communication and learning environments.
Monitor and track student progress and adjust instructional
strategies to optimize learning outcomes. Maintain compliance with
all relevant regulations and policies, including active Tennessee
Department of Education certification requirements. Manage caseload
effectively, adapting to varied school assignments as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience: Active Tennessee Department of
Education certification in Teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is
preferred, with opportunities available for candidates across all
experience levels. Strong communication and collaboration skills to
engage with students, families, and school teams. Ability to work
full-time on-site during school hours (37.5 hours per week).
Location: Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, within the Chattanooga
metropolitan area. Additional Information: This is a contract role
starting January 5, 2026, through May 21, 2026. Position requires
full-time schedule at on-site locations; no virtual or hybrid
opportunities. Candidates should be prepared to follow students
