Job Description Job Description Construction Estimator Company: Southeast Restoration & Fireproofing Co., Inc. Location: Atlanta, Georgia Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Southeast Restoration & Fireproofing Co., Inc. (“SERF”) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support our growing portfolio of restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, and specialty construction projects throughout the Southeast. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates, reviewing contract documents, and supporting project teams from pre-construction through project award. Primary Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, and specialty trade scopes Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing based on labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential risk items Assist in developing bid strategies and value-engineering options Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost data Support Project Managers during handoff and project startup Assist with change order pricing as needed Qualifications 3 years of estimating experience in the construction industry Experience with restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, or specialty trades strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficiency with Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Clear written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Familiarity with public and private bid processes Experience working with general contractors and design teams Knowledge of Southeast construction markets and pricing Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Stable, long-term position with an established Southeast contractor Opportunity for growth within the estimating and pre-construction team Direct collaboration with ownership and senior management Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter to: Employment@serest.com
