Job Description:

• The Fiber Accounting team is seeking an Accounting contractor, based out of their home, but available to meet occasionally for in-person collaboration as needed.
• This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with Divisional, Corporate, Business Unit, plant personnel, third-party IT developers and other internal customers.
• Performs month end close procedures
• Create/analyze journal entries and input into JD Edwards accounting system
• Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Physical inventory validation, valuation, and reconciliation
• Preparing and reviewing financial analysis on balance sheet accounts and P&L
• Solid, consistent contributor in testing of system replacement project through regular attendance of meetings, user acceptance testing, and end user support
• Work well in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines
• Perform special accounting projects as assigned
• Provide professional expertise and assistance in the continuous improvement process to enhance transactional processing
• Comply with SOX controls and GAAP to ensure a solid internal control environment
